I had the pleasure of attending the .NET Awards on the evening of December 3rd. Hosted by .NET Magazine the night presented the results of all the categories, including web app of the year, design agency of the year and more!
It was a fab night, and provided a great opportunity to chat with well some known web folks in person.

Today I received my new Underwater Case for my Flip UltraHD camcorder. This is the new version for Gen2 Flips. After some research I’m pretty sure a lot of people mistook the first version as being compatible with UltraHDs and as a result a lot of cameras were broken.

Today’s vid is a quick collection of footage of me building the flat pack IKEA storage unit for the office, that turns out to look like a fridge. Nevertheless, it provides somewhere to hide away all my office mess!

We make our (hopefully!) final trip to IKEA to buy some new office storage units. I also pick up a lime green shower curtain that looked like it could come in pretty handy as a green screen. Check out the test at the end where I head off around the world to New York, Hawaii and the Swiss Alps!
The green screen magic was simply created in iMovie09; I’m tempted to look into Final Cut to see if there’s any more advanced settings to play with!

Tonight is the night our friends finally come over to check out our new house, approx 6 weeks after moving in! We head out to the supermarket to grab some supplies, then have fun with plenty of Guitar Hero madness in the evening.
